Matlock Bath is situated south of Matlock Town in Derbyshire along the River Derwent. Sometimes referred to as Little Switzerland, the town boasts numerous attractions including the Peak District Mining Museum, Gullivers Kingdom for the children and the Heights of Abraham, which provides entertainment for the whole family. Cable car rides across the Derwent Valley to the 60 acre summit. Exciting underground tours in two famous show caves. Explorers challenge. Displays. Picnic and play areas. In autumn of each year, the "Venetian Nights" are held with fireworks, illuminations along the river and illuminated boats, attracting thousands of visitors.
