wingerworth lido (chesterfield) has just been stocked with chub as anglers have not had much luck catching this winter season.pike have started to be caught but please use wire traces (bailiffs orders).also you will notice on the pond that signs have been put up to notify anglers of no live baiting(people caught face extensive fines).the pond itself has slacked off so dont expect a catch every cast but soon picks up in the summer where roach,ide,bream,perch,are to be caught at decent sizes.

I think the ponds at the back of hopwell cottage farm offer great fishing for old and young although i have only been once i had some excellent perch to 3lb, roach to 2lb and carp to 12lb this fishery offers a good days fishing for anyone.

Clay Cross pond {meadow farm pond}
For carp, tench, sliver fish, by far clay cross pond on its day is the best pond in all of derbyshire.
Carp bags up to 50lb, carp up to 36lb.
Any method, all you need is sweetcorn,bread,maggots and carp pellets.
HOW TO GET THERE.
TAKE THE A61 FOR CHESTERFIELD TO CLAY CROSS, AT THE 1ST SET TRAFFICE LIGHTS TURN LEFT ON TO HOMLEGATE ROAD FOLLOW THE ROAD AND AFTER THE PLAYING FIELDS ON THE LEFT THERE IS A PATH {PARK CAR ON ROAD} AND YOU WILL SEE THE POND.
TICKET ON BANK 2POUND PER DAY.

lings fishery on williamthorpe road is fishing great with bags up to 100lbs+ anythig is working, Bread, Sweetcorn and catmeat for carp and tench and for thesilvers maggots and breadpunch is working to an extense.

i would like to recomend the chesterfield canal in chesterfield it an exellent fishery that has a large head of chub and other coarse fish i would also recomend barlow fishery as i have been there many times and caught many quality fish both trout and coarse.

Have you been to Press Manor Fishery. They have three well stocked lakes fed by stream, covering 12 acres. They have a website - www.pressmanorfishery.inuk.com
The fishery also has a resident casting coach. Great for the novice and the experienced angler looking for coarse, carp and trout fishing
