The church of St Matthew at Darley Abbey in Derby was built in 1818-19 by Moses Wood of Nottingham for Walter Evans, a local mill owner and industrialist. The chancel was added 1885-1891. Built of stone the church is unaisled with tall slender windows with Perp tracery and angle pinnacles. The west tower is also pinnacled.
