Derbyshire and Peak District Curiosities
| Cressbrook Chapel Situated behind Cressbrook Mill, on the path beside the River Wye in Water-cum-Jolly Dale, is this church like structure, thought to have been where the child mill-workers who lived in Apprentice Row, were given religious teaching. The children at Cressbrook generally fared better than those from a mile upstream at Litton Mill. The building has been restored and is used as a cafe in season. |
