Welcome to Blackbrook Lodge B&B Guest House - Comfort In The Country

Description

Blackbrook Lodge was originally a working farm, which has been beautifully restored and converted into a comfortable family home, and now offers bed and breakfast accommodation. We can offer a choice of two rooms. One is situated within the main house, with double four poster bed, beamed ceiling, and original shuttered windows. A gorgeous 'old english' style room with large spacious en-suite shower room this room has tv/dvd, fridge and tea/coffee facilities, with shuttered windows to both sides.... it captures both the morning and late evening sun!

The 2nd room is a converted 'milking parlour' and is situated away from the main house. This is large and spacious, with an 'L' shaped bedroom which incorporates a seperate seating area, tv/dvd, fridge, tea/coffee facilities. It also boasts a large en-suite sauna room which then leads into a huge 'wet room' with shower, toilet and sink. This room also has its own small terrace complete with patio table and chairs, perfect for those wonderful sunny mornings!

We have 16 acres of stunning grounds for you to walk and explore... There is a large lake and ponds and we have our own 'resident' ducks and geese. [fishing is available on request]

The Accommodation

As well as the above two rooms we have a lovely breakfast room with a huge arched window where you can enjoy the garden views over a leisurely breakfast. We have a sitting room with a log burner for those chilly winter days and you can settle down with the papers after breakfast on one of our large chesterfield sofas. This room has breathtaking views of the garden and the ponds but is such a peaceful quiet room for reflection and relaxation.

The extensive grounds can be used as a venue for marquees for weddings or other functions.

Nearby attractions include; Carsington reservoir and water sports and visitors centre which offers sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and has the most beautiful walkways and cycle routes within the centre. Bring your own cycle or hire one from the centre we are also within easy reach of Alton Towers for a fun day out of thrill and spills!
